The 21 originating in Chicago on May 7 got to SAS next day about 9 hours late. But that was better than the one originating on the 10th which seems to have ended somewhere between MIN and DAL. The one due in SAS today seems to have stopped somewhere between Hope and TXA. DryCreek metioned problems on the 21 the week before. I thought I read last week that Jim said it needs another engine? Is that what's causing all these SDs?

In fact, train 21 seems to be shown in service disruption at STL as we speak. Should be approaching SAS at this time of night.

Does not bode well for our trip in in a few weeks.

Check the new post about the 22 - I wondered weeks ago if weather wasn't contributing to the problems (although I was thinking tornadoes, not water on the tracks). We needed the rain, I have to take the bad with the good I guess...
