La. crossing crashes trigger legislative interest
SHREVEPORT, La. -- The loss of lives at Louisiana railway crossings has been thrust into the public spotlight this year, most recently by the deaths of a Texas man, an Arkansas woman and one of her two small children Friday evening in Oil City, The Shreveport Times reported.
Last month, six people died in two fatal accidents just north of Hammond in Tangipahoa Parish.
