I saw a dome car on the California Zephyr today going east through Iowa. This is #6/17 which should arrive in Chicago today. It was very close to running on time.

The full dome is the Scenic View. It's painted in what I believe is an Illinois Central scheme. Scenic View has the letters SLRG on the side for the San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad in Colorado, so I think that means it used to look
. I'm guessing it has been repainted for the new service between Chicago and New Orleans that's going to be run by Iowa Pacific, San Luis & Rio Grande's parent company, attached to the City of New Orleans.
