I will add, I gave our SCA a nice tip. I said she probably didn't get too many today. I told her she was amazing and thanked her for her calm optimism and gentle nature. Sadly, no one else had tipped her.

Train crew AWESOME. Ground crew??? I had no reason to consider writing a letter of complaint. But the way the bus crew treated pax is unacceptable and I will be lodging a serious complaint.

We are in good spirits. When we boarded yesterday in Seattle our trans dorm became adjoining deluxe sleepers, so we are fairly comfortable. Coach is getting squirrly. Toilets don't work. No electricity. Apparently the uncoupled private dome car is recoupled. They just announced they are running...

I have a feeling we will not make it to LA tonight

We had an accident (minor) in Salinas. After an hour and a half delay, we were cleared by CHP and Amtrak. Just south of San Luis Obispo, we lost power. A private car at the end uncoupled. And the number two engine has failed (because of the earlier collision). So, here we sit!! Updates to follow.
