Will our fam be seated together?

We are a family of four, heading out of Naperville, IL on Friday on what appears to be a sold out California Zephyr. In the past we've gotten on in Chicago and have boarded in one of the earlier groups, lining up with those folks that have kids under 12.

But with boarding in Naperville, will we hopefully at least be able to get in the same car? We don't need to be RIGHT next to each other (tho that would be handy) but in the same car would be SUPER handy.

Most coach attendants set aside (usually 1/2 the car) seats with signs saying

Reserved for groups of 3 or more

If your reservation says 4, they will know that there is a group of 4 boarding and should try to accommodate you.

I'd call the 1-800 number and speak to a reservation agent. Ask them to put in a special service request so it appears separately on the manifest. It will highlight the request.
