I am looking for some information on the different careers associated with the railroad we are trying to find the different names for careers in the profession if anyone can help i would appreciate it.... thanks

Engineer-dude who runs the train

Fireman-also called assistant engineer-back in steam days fired the firebox

Conductor-responsible for overall operation of train

Train attendant-provides on board services to passengers in sleepers and coaches

LSA-Lead Service Attendant-responsible for operation of diner/lounge car'

Manager-grossly over paid individual who does little to nothing all day long :lol:
