Do any of you know if Amtrak still publishes the "All America Fares" official Tariff book used by travel agents, or is this a thing of the past? I have a few in my collection, but haven't come across any that is newer then 1994. This is something that may have become obsolete due to the computer age. But you would think Amtrak would want to still have a back up system in place due to power outages ...etc...

For the most part the travel agent tariff book is gone, they have to use computers to do bookings. But, each Conductor now carries a tariff book for his/her route that lists the tariff between any two stations on that route, that's the back up. An RRB report must be filed for each ticket cut by the Conductor.
