Sunset back to NOL on 11/3!

I saw this in the local paper this morning. That's great news. It said the portion from NOL to ORL won't be operating until sometime next year due to severe track damage. At least the "original" Sunset route is going to be restored.

I may try to get on one of the inagural runs to show my support.

Well that's good news for the folks in LA since some of their jobs got cut off with the shortened run. Also be good to get more of the T&E back to work. Any word on whether they'll return to a full consist?

Amtrak's website shows a lounge and a diner on the Sunset, but as far as sleepers go, it looks like only Roomette's are available for sale...at least that was the case on 11/4...it didn't even list Bedrooms and Family Bedrooms on the accomadations page. Transition sleeper only maybe?
