Unlike shampoo, food is much better when hot and prepared recently, is used three times a day, and doesnt last very long without refrigeration. So having food prepared and provided onboard is much more of a necessity than having shampoo prepared and provided onboard.
Agreed, but something like the ketchup-sized packets of shampoo which were available on three of our four trains in 2016 (and which I thought might become a permanent amenity...silly me!) would be easy to stock, would really not cost all that much, and would be a welcome feature if it was consistent enough that you could count on it.
