Yes. But shampoo is somewhat different than food, isnt it. Unlike shampoo, food is much better when hot and prepared recently, is used three times a day, and doesnt last very long without refrigeration. So having food prepared and provided onboard is much more of a necessity than having shampoo prepared and provided onboard.

Agreed, but something like the ketchup-sized packets of shampoo which were available on three of our four trains in 2016 (and which I thought might become a permanent amenity...silly me!) would be easy to stock, would really not cost all that much, and would be a welcome feature if it was consistent enough that you could count on it. Don't like their brand? Then just bring your own.
 
No cost is too small that we can't eliminate it in the effort to cut costs, no matter what it does to the satisfaction level of our premium customers.

Even the airlines are not that stupid - yet!
