Check out this proposed Alfred Twu High Speed Rail map.

Proposal resurrects-combines some old- and pre- Amtrak routes (remember South Wind, City of Los Angeles, Desert Wind?), and uses some status quo routes.

Interestingly, it is a proposed national HSRR map.

Provincially speaking, Fort Worth appears on a combo Amtrak-MP Texas Eagle - Santa Fe Texas Chief/The Kansas Cityian - Chicagoan (Nos. 11&12) route, with connex to Sunset Ltd.

Biggest omission this map appears to be no HS on BNSF Empire Builder Hi-Line.

AFIK Mr. Twu attended UCal-Berkeley, works as designer at architect firm.

Good news is that I can finally take the train (almost) to South Padre Island and the beach if this happens. Bad news is conductor still will hog space in the Lounge.
