We just finished a quick trip from PDX-SBA; two nights layover, then back. Good crew going south, great crew coming back north. SCA was Roger and the Parlour car attendant was Garrett. Lots of snow up by Klamath fall that was lit by a full moon. My first time through the Salinas Valley. What a beautiful, hidden part of California. Lots of wildlife; saw sea lions way inland on the Sacramento marshes. Saw a pack(?) of wild boars running up the hill down near Vandenburg AFB. Anyone have any good recommendations for a hotel in San Luis Obispo close to the station? Also; is there a more graceful way of attaching URL links to these posts? Hope you enjoy the photos.
