A pair of Amtrak trains nudged one another Monday at Los Angeles Union Station downtown, causing five minor injuries, rescue officials said.
The incident occurred at about 1:30 p.m., said city Fire Department spokesman Jim Wells. Two people with minor injuries were taken by ambulance to a local hospital, three others were treated by paramedics at the scene and released, he said.
"It may have been a rough bump that caused these injuries to these people," Wells said. "There is no indication that these trains are off the tracks."
