It's the end of the world as we know it. My local NPR station (Athens Ohio ) actually ran a one minute piece on the Cardinal this morning talking about upgrades at CUS and mentioning it stopped in Portsmouth and Huntington.Miracles never cease.
Reviving this several-months-old thread to say yesterday while listening to the Seahawks' pregame show--ironically while on my way to a recently-opened railroad museum in my area--there was an Amtrak ad specifically mentioning the Cascades service and specifically mentioning that Seattle's King Street station is a very convenient stop for Century Link Field, the home of the Seahawks. Such ads don't do us in the boonies much good but might for fans along the I-5 corridor. And the spot was done by Seattle's standout receiver Doug Baldwin. Amtrak could do more advertising; specific ads for a specific service such as the Cascades certainly can't hurt.
