Hi All:
I just got my first e-ticket for a family trip between NYP and ROC on an Empire Service train, for me, my wife, and two young kids.
I'm not exactly optimistic that we'll all be able to set together when we leave NYP, which made me think; What happens if my wife and I need to, say, sit in separate cars? ( Obviously with at least one kid each )? Since we have just the one ticket to print out that has all four names on it, is there likely to be any issue if I print at least two copies? I.E. if the conductor scans my wife's first, will the system treat his scan of my copy later as a duplicate and flag it at already have been used?
Also, in regards to leaving NYP, from reading past postings on here, I'm under the impression that the best way to try to get seats together in NYP is to buttonhole a redcap before the train arrives, and he/she will escort us down to the platform before the much larger mass of other passengers get there, correct?
Thanks!
