He better have a lot of money on his credit card-- the rooms are there, but they're not cheap!Aloha from La HabraSo it's worse-- he's stuck in America! :blink:He's not there yet. Isn't scheduled to be there for a few days.Does this mean Alan is stuck in Canada?
Alan's plan was to board the Coast Starlight, this morning, to Seattle, arriving Friday evening. He was working on contingency plans, He might switch to the Empire Builder. What was of most concern was the lack of a clear position from VIA Rail about the status as of Saturday's train. A definite cancellation of Friday's departure has occurred.

GO Transit, the Greater Toronto area commuter agency, has been running additional, weekend-only trains between Niagara Falls, Ontario and Toronto since late June. Intermediate stops are made along the way at St Catharines and few other GO stations, such as Port Credit, which do not have Via service. Bombardier now operates all GO trains excepting the Milton service which is run by Canadian Pacific.heres info from amtrak.

Something tells me a trip on the EB is in somebody's future.there's no sense in Alan going to Canada unless he planes on driving there. he could take the cascades to Vancouver or the Adirondack to Manitoba but then how does he get to other parts of the Canada besides taking the local commuter trains. he can't get to toronto etc unless he rents a car or take greyhound. select buses have more leg room and have outlets in the middle of the bus.
