A recent topic made me wonder about how crews deal with turning the seats on trains such as the Keystone/Hiawatha which frequently change direction. Do they have half of the seats permanently facing one way and half the other way in some of the Amfleet Is/Horizons? Or do they turn them in the middle/at the end of each run?

When I was on the Hiawatha a few weeks ago I rode in a refurbished Horizon coach that had 1/2 the seats facing front and 1/2 to the back.

Not on the Detroit trains. The Wolverine service generally also has cars with seating arranged to face half one direction, and half the other.

The cafe attendant will turn the business class seats, but that's about it.

Hi Everyone,

I'm not a frequent user of this site, but was looking for some info and came across this thread. I'm a frequent user of the Keystone trains between Harrisburg and Philly and half of the seats face one way while half face the other direction.
