We are thinking of taking the SWC from ABQ to LAX then Coast Starlight to...well, not sure where. Want to take the train up the coast. Will get roomettes. Notice it then travels up the middle of CA on it's way to Seattle. Would like to see the Cascades from the train, perhaps? Any suggestions...

oh dear. we sure don't want to be stranded in the middle of the night. what company is the van associated w/? Perhaps I should call ahead and discuss this w/ them?

sorry if this post shows up twice, didn't seem to "take" first time. Hubby and I are planning a trip from ABQ to Laughlin, NV later this month. Notice that we get off the train in Kingman and take a bus into Laughlin. Would like advise about this transfer both going out and coming back. Thanks!

ok, will do a cab, since I've already made reservations, will it matter if we do that? Actually, wondering if it would be better to take a cab then from SFC to the hotel when we get there. not too wild about being dropped off at a bus stop late at night. wondering if this matters reservation wise.

Made our reservations for SF. Taking the SWC to LAX, then Coast Starlight to OKJ, then bus to SFW. Way back, taking bus to EMY, San Joaquin to BFD where we'll pick up a bus to LAX(need advise on that as well) and SWC from LAX back to ABQ. Notice that SFW is not a real station but a bus stop...
