Well here goes. Hope I'm not to wordy. Landed in Minneapolis, got a taxi to the Amtrak station (got ripped off by the cabdriver, he took the long route). Got to the train station, my how tiny. I had thought that maybe they would have had a small snack bar (was looking for something to eat)...

well I have completed my train trip. I gotta say to everyone that helped me when I first started posting here. If you hadn't given the advice you did, I would have been totally messed up. Am preparing a trip report that I will post soon. :D

I've been on cruises before and they have a suggested scale of how to tip the crew there from the dude that only takes your initial choice for dinner seating, you room steward, your waiter on meal times, etc.... My question is do you tip the crew on a train, if so who all do you tip? And...

I've been reading some trip reports and other comments about sleeper cars. I understand that the standard superliner sleeper has two beds. I will be travelling alone, will they put someone else in there with me? You know like they do on cruise lines unless you double book the room? :)

I had a very nice person from another discussion hook me up with the dining menus on superliner trains, but for lunch I'm not realy impressed. Is there somewhere on a train like a snack bar?
