I hope those who are injured recover quickly. It seems like Amtrak is doing everything they can to stop the public from taking trains. Just one more stab in the chest. Hopefully this isn't Amtrak's fault. Unbelievable.
The Amtrak site says an infant can travel for free with ticketed passengers. However, how would that work in a sleeper? Theoretically could an infant stay in a roomette with two parents? I understand this is very limited space and probably not recommended, but I'm still curious. Anyone ever...
I wasn't aware of this change, but it seems like a stupid decision by Amtrak. If Amtrak hasn't sold the rooms by the time the train leaves, they should consider lowering the price to the bottom bucket. I wonder what the % filled capacity of sleepers are on a route? I can't see most people...
Title asks it all. Does anyone know of a reasonable way to transfer lots of chase points to AGR? I know the good days of direct 1:1 are long gone. Are there any backdoor options that give a reasonable return? I have over 150k Chase points I'd like to burn on some Amsteaks and mountain views.
If you can't answer his question politely, why don't you hit the back button and leave the thread? Is it that hard? Your snarky comments are rude.
As far as the buying points, I just got an offer today for up to 30% off. I don't know if it's targeted or not.
0 - 500 points = No bonus

I noticed President Trump mentioned railways in his inauguration speech. Has any President done that before?
"We will build new roads, and highways, and bridges, and airports, and tunnels, and railways all across our wonderful nation"
I called amtrak and the agent said I can't change from a lower to upper roomette without going up to the next bucket price. He implied certain rooms are at lower buckets and certain rooms are at higher buckets. I don't remember this being the case. Is this the new rule? Can't you change...
Anybody know the brand of the parlor car breakfast burrito that is served? I found them to be very delicious. :)
These are the ones I'm talking about:
