Youngstown OH Service

I read a news article that there would be a train to New York from Youngstown last year (2011) . I have not heard anything since. I would really like to hear more updates on making this stop.

Can you point to this article anywhere?

There are no plans currently in the works to serve Youngstown, OH by rail.

The last train served Youngstown in 2004. It was the Three Rivers from Chicago to New York via Pittsburgh and Philly. Theres nothing that I know of to bring back service.

If there ever was the budget to bring another train from Pittsburgh to Cleveland, it would be nice if they could serve Youngstown and Akron enroute, although it would take considerably longer than the current route of the Capitol.....

I have no idea what you are talking about. I have not seen an article or press release about said train. Amtrak does not have the money or equipment, so it is immposible until they get more. To seal off the dead end, there are no plans to bring back the TR.

A 3rd train from here would be nice to see....
