My state is quickly becoming the laughing stock of America for sheer stupidity. Another day, another fatal accident involving the City of New Orleans. The engine sustained damamge this time around and the 80 passengers were evacuated off of the train apparently.

I just can't believe people still "try to beat the train".

INDEPENDENCE -- For the second time in less than a week, a train wreck in Tangipahoa Parish caused multiple deaths.

Two men died Thursday afternoon when a northbound Amtrak passenger train hit their truck, Tangipahoa Parish sheriff's deputies said.

This kinda got missed, but the train was terminated right there. The Fuel tank on the 172 was ruptured, not sure what was done with the PAX, but the bossmen in NOL aren't happy with this crap.
