On days that Train 21 isn't hauling 421 to join 1, is the train physically shorter, or do they just have an "extra" coach and sleeper to book on those days?
Same Consist everyday from CHI-SAS! On the Three Days a Week that #421 Runs CHI-LAX the Revenue Sleeper and One Coach are Cut out in SAS and Switched to the Back of #1 which runs from NOL-LAX. The Exceptions are the STL-CHI Coach which is added/dropped in STLand any PVs that occasionally Run this Route! (Creative Charters out of Houston is a frequent user of the Eagles and Sunsets!)Lately, due to Heat Problems causing Engine Breakdowns the Eagle has been running with Two Engines, Normal Consist only has One! #422 does the Reverse from #2 to #22 in SAS on the Three Days a Week it runs LAX-CHIOn days that Train 21 isn't hauling 421 to join 1, is the train physically shorter, or do they just have an "extra" coach and sleeper to book on those days?
Looks like I taught you well! :giggle:On the 21/22 days, it has a sleeper and transdorm. On 421/422 days, the full sleeper goes to/comes from LAX and 21/22 only books the transdorm. One of the coaches is 421/422 also. But all 7 days, the TE is the same # of cars.
Yes,just like #421, a Revenue Sleeper and Coach from #2 are cut out in SAS and hooked to the back of #22 and become #422 to CHI Three Days a Week! (Otherwise there would only be the Trandorm for use as a Sleeper! And sometimes the STL Coach is Deadheaded all to the way to/from CHI-SAS without being cutout in STL)So, does that mean that EVERY time the Eagle drops cars for the SL, it picks up on the same night for the return to CHI?
