Worried about Empire Builder delays

Noticed that Empire Builder is experiencing severe delays and service disruptions in recent weeks. Now, I am a little worried about my trip next weekend.

2-3 hours' delay on a long distence train is not a problem for me, but recently EB is making 7-11 hours' delay on both directions. Will this be changed next week?

I sure hope so! I called MSP a couple weeks back before all hell broke loose this week and they said that it usually takes a week or so (barring any more major storms) to clear things back up.

I hope so, I'm taking the EB next week from Chicago to Portland. I really don't mind being a few hours late, but an extra 8 hours is a little excessive!
