What is the best side (odd or even numbers) for a roomette?

I have looked at videos posted finding that there is no consistency with any train on which way the sleeping car is faced. The only Roomettes you know will be on the left or right is in the Trans/Dorm which always has about 8 Roomettes which are on side towards the rear of the of the train, this can never vary since the stairs on the opposite end of the car allow access to the Baggage Car.
 
By southside and northsie I was speaking in "big picture" terms. In other words, "southside" is left side if traveling from Chicago westbound to California.
