Vouchers

I have a voucher for $275.00. The wife and I will be traveling MSP to ARB in August this fall. The fare will be $245.00, I will have $30.00 left over. Will they write me a new voucher for $30.00, and if so would I be able to use that voucher in the diner?

Is it a refund voucher (looks like a ticket) or a "good will" voucher (looks like a gift certificate)?

No, regardless, any voucher, and can only be used for travel tickets. I doubt the dining car has any ability to accept it (they accept only cash or credit cards).

Any remnants of a transportation voucher (and you will get a $30 voucher) must be presented to a manned ticket office. They are NOT good on board trains or for anything but "transportation."
