UP train arrives 2 hours early

I had a great and supprising experience this morning. A friend and I went to Hutchinson to watch the UP 844 (4-8-4) and train arrive at the old RI Depot. I saw him talking to the conductor and then he came and got me and said we're going to Pratt on the train. We rode in the UP passenger car Texas Eagle as well as the dome car for some great views. The car with the snack bar in it had the vestibule door open for head out viewing and photo opts. When we got to Pratt, (where I live) there were hundreds of people there to see the first steam train since 1964 come into town. Quite an experience to be on board. Oh yes, we arrived in town two hours ahead of schedule. Pretty good for the UP.
