My trip begins in Los Angeles and I think I know the answer to this question but want to make sure.

I have a three hour wait in LAX before my train departs. Are the gift and goody shops at Union Station where I can stock up on snacks and junk food to take on board with me?

Thanks

Yes, there are several stores in the station. There is a newly opened Fatima store (like a 7 Eleven but with a Japanese twist), a new Subway and a candy stand. And with 3 hours free, you can go across the street (out the front entrance and across Alameda) to Olvera Street for Mexican food and goodies, or (my favorite) a couple blocks (out the front entrance, turn right, go about 2 blocks) to Philippe's for french dip sandwiches (they actually work well to go -- we took several on our last Sunset trip).

Thanks Gregory. Am definitely going to make a trip to Philppe's for a french dip sandwich.
