A mini adventure to come this Tuesday, just booked a trains, boats and planes trip to Ireland.
Train to Holyhead, ferry across to Dublin, and fly back home the next day. Details to follow, needless to say!

Are you doing or have you done any train trips in Ireland? I recently watched a DVD of various train trips there and that has me intrigued to take a trip there the next time I am in the British Isles. Some of the possible trips out to the West Coast look interesting.

Looking forward to your report. We should be in Ireland right now if it weren't for cancelled flights and travel restrictions, and had planned a full rail tour of the country. Unfortunately the ferry wasn't part of the itinerary. Are you hoping for the Irish Ferries' Ulysses or the Stena Line? Both apparently have their pros and cons.
