I am afflicted by a chronic condition called wanderlust. Since my retirement I have wandered the far corners of the world by aeroplane when I must, car and bus occasionally but rail when I could.
I am not as expert about rolling stock or engines as many here. I just enjoy the experience and deliberately seek out the scenic trains of the world which is why I am presently enquiring about crossing the Rockies and Big Sur in another topic.
