The Ann Rutledge schedule

Anyone have any idea why Amtrak doesn't adjust the KC departure time for the Ann Rutledge train to Saint Louis and make it a connection with the SWC. I needed to go to Jefferson City, looked at taking the train but I couldn't wait aroung in KC for 7 hours waiting for the Mule.

Don't the states of Illinois and Missouri set schedules for the Ann Rutledge and Mules?

Now that you mention it, I think they do. Still the Ann Rutledge has a several hour layover in St. Louis, so they could add 1-2 hours at KC and not bother the St. Louis departure.

You can pitch that to the Missouri folks, but I think that they want the train to be in St. Louis as early in the day as reasonable.

Especally if they use UP trackage! LOL

If they do they wouldnt never get in on time.
