This may have come up before, but as we're in that late December "how can I get those last few hundred points for Select?" time of year... where are the best places to live in order to accomplish this cheaply and easily?

Philadelphia has Keystone rides for about $6/100 points.

Milwaukee has Hiawatha rides for about the same.

Chicago and LA have rides under $10, I think.

Anywhere else have high frequency round-trips where each ticket costs $10 or less? I feel like I looked at NYP and WAS once and found that the cheapest fares out of them were over $10, but I could be wrong. Are any Cascades city-pairs that cheap?

Where ever you have state-supported trains, you can get some really cheap fares for short hops. The Keystones, Downeasters, Capitols, and Surfliners are all good candidates for PR's (Point Runs).
