Earlier today, Acela 2167 lost time through Forest and Junction due to a loss of cab signals and was held at PVD. 2158 arrived alongside 2167 and they swapped equipment, transferring SB pax to 2158's equipment and NB pax to 2167's equipment.

Now, same thing has happened to 2173. ACSES failure though Forest and Junction. Turning 2164 at PVD for 2173, and 2173 for 2164.

Regionals 137 and 175 made it through fine.

Interesting day today...

Actually, 2173 had c/s failure and was swapped at PVD while NYT operated an on time section. 2171 had ACSES issues but continued without it. A few other sets had problems as well.

Was there a software update last night that didn't take well?

ACSES is much different then Cab Signals. ACSES is the PTC. You can cut out ACSES. Cab Signals are needed on the Mets as they operate on NORAC rule 562 IINM. Which means Signals are from the Cab Signals. I was at PHL after work tonight and 2167 was listed as 2 hours late. A cab signal failure and equipment swap will do that. You'll also note that 2171 is 40 down. ImageUploadedByAmtrak Forum1489200659.331491.jpg
