A TRIP A DAY IN JUNE ON AMTRAK (contest entry link)
Sponsored by the Ventura County Star and Amtrak. One entry per person per day. Contest Rules. What is unclear below, but may be seen on the entry form, is that departures must be from Ventura County stations: Ventura (VEC), Oxnard (OXN), Camarillo (CML), Moorpark (MPK), Simi Valley (SIM). Not a horrendous restriction given the newspaper sponsorhip.
PRIZES: (31) Grand Prizes - each winner will receive a family four-pack of complimentary Amtrak round trip
coach tickets on Amtrak Pacific Surfliner Route (ARV: $440/family 4-pack.) Tickets are not good for stopovers,
non-transferable, and are based on availability. Where applicable, winner may have the option to upgrade
accommodation for the appropriate accommodation charge. Travel must be completed between 9/1/2009 and
3/1/2010, observing the following blackout dates: 9/4/09-9/7/09, 11/24/09-11/25/09, 11/28/09-11/30/09, 12/17/09-
12/23/09, 12/26/09-12/30/09, 1/3/10-1/4/10 and 2/12/10-2/15/10. Travel must be booked 21 days prior to first date
of travel. If departing from the staffed Oxnard Amtrak station, tickets will be available for pickup at the station
following receipt and processing of certificate. If departing from any unstaffed Amtrak station in Ventura County
(Simi Valley, Moorpark, Camarillo or Ventura) tickets will be sent to winner via mail. Prizes consist of only those
items specifically listed as part of the prize. No substitution or transfer/assignment of prize by winners permitted.
