I really enjoyed watching a show recently about the history of the Zephyr trains and the design concept of streamlining. It was really interesting - did anyone else see it? They showed quite a bit about the orginal California Zephyr and included stuff about the evolution to Amtrak.

Boy I wish I could have ridden one of those trains!

I'ver seen the program, and better yet, done plenty of riding on them too! I was amazed , the first time I saw the show, how the railroads were more or less the actual inventors of the concept of streamlining, at least on a grand scale. Seems once we started doing it , many, many highly diverse companies started their own verison of "streamlining" their products.
