Service Disruptions on the Southern part of the Silvers?

As I am trying to defend Amtrak's improved OTP on a cruise board, I was looking into arrivals into Tampa over the last five days. Looks like there was a service disruption on Saturday with no additional details, and an hour and a half delay on Sunday. Yesterday and today look good so far.

Anyone know what's causing these delays? These were before the accident that killed that woman and her two kids.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm taking the Palmetto south bound tomorrow and OTP for the Palmetto north and southbound has been AWFUL this week.

Not a direct answer, but look at the monthly reports for lots of good on time performance data (scroll to the bottom, the reports open as a PDF and the OTP stuff is at the very end):

Wow, interesting. I would not have guessed that one of the top reasons for a train being late due to Amtrak itself, are "passenger holds".
