Based on some pictures, it seems like the old waiting area is closed off to complete the needed refurbishment, and the waiting area is now in a temporary annex attached to the station by the old northern turn-around area. At least it is not a whole separate building.

I'm fairly excited to see the King Street Station-we'll be visiting it in early July for the first time!

Stations during refurbishment always look like that. It's quite annoyance for me to navigate around all the construction areas.
