In this piece from the San Jose Mercury, columnist Scott Herhold bemoans possible loss of the 1.1 mile, 3-station Almaden shuttle. He says that according to NARP it would be the first light rail line built in the modern era (post-1980) to be abandoned.

The Almaden line has been in jeopardy practically since it opened. This is not new news.

If it managed to dodge the bullet again, that would be real news.
