Rugby, ND (RUG) to be Unstaffed Effective June 1, 2016

Another one bites the dust...

While the noticed says effective June 1, the last train served will actually be #7 on the morning of May 31. The station will already be closed train #8 on the evening of May 31.

This decision was apparently made a couple of months ago, though this is the first I'd heard of it. Not really a surprise, considering that GFK, just a couple of stops down the line, lost its ticket agent a couple of years ago already. GFK served 3x as many passengers than Rugby.
