Thanks for the responses ahead of time. If we were to get on in Sandusky Ohio with a sleeper, how do you find your room and find storage for bags at 4:30 am? Is someone at station to help? Thanks again.

I think a train crewmember will help. The Amtrak site says that your station has no checked baggage, no baggage assistance (Redcaps), no baggage carts, no baggage storage, no lockers, basically you will just have to lub the bags onboard and then ask a crewmember for assistance.

Yes, a crewmember will help. Also remember that if you're on the CL, there is a luggage rack on the lower level. If on the LSL, and you are traveling alone, you could "store" your bags on one berth while sleeping in the other. There is also a cubby hole over the hallway (inside the room) for storage.

Here you can see your luggage rack when you step into a Superliner sleeper, well and you can see of course the rest of the train including your roomette

for an only interactive tour of Superliner Sleeper and Diner see here: http://www.kaemena360.com/360/SuperlinerSleeperTour/

The Sleeping car attendant of YOUR sleeper car knows that you will board at Sandusky. He/she will come out of YOUR booked car and look for you and help you to board.
