Rail events/preserved railways in December 2010

Hi all

Am going to be in Boston/NY/Vermont for around 10 days between December 6th-16th of this year.

Are there any 'special events' on preserved lines at around this time? And any decent train museums in these parts too?

The only event that I can think of is that on the 11th Acela will be turning 10 and I plan on heading to Boston from PHL on 2250 to celebrate 10 years of High Speed Rail.
