Anyone who has ridden into or out of Portland on Amtrak has probably seen a series of old passenger cars, which are no located near the new home of the Pacific Daylight engine, 4449.

These vintage 1947 cars have recently been turned into offices for three different startups. Who wouldn't want to work in an old railcar?

Cool!

No pictures,(IINM GG-1 has some)but in my old hometown of San Marcos on the Eastern Edge of town towards Austin on the Texas Eagle Route,(ex MoPac/MKT) there are four "Texas Special" Cars (ex-MKT) being used as offices by a Hi-Tech Company.

Very nice. The cars look like they have not been gutted, but retain their basic original configuration mostly. In fact, they appear like they could undergo a COTS inspection, and be on their way.... :cool:
