Effective July 1, Port Huron will no longer be staffed. The waiting room will be open from 11 PM to 7 AM daily, or until train 365 departs if it is late departing.

A little less concerning than some others since PTH has just one departure a day and does not offer checked bag service. People waiting for a train (either to meet arriving passengers or to depart) will still have somewhere warm and dry to wait.

The day is going to come for the small market or lightly used stations where one gets off the train at an unstaffed station and then can get into the driverless taxi to head home or to their destination. No need to deal with grumpy service people. Of course, if you need help with luggage, well, you are out of luck until stations get re-staffed with androids...
