Hey All,

I am getting ready to take Amtrak from Croton, NY to Garberville, CA. So in my eternal geekiness I set up a blog to catalogue my travels.

That's a nice looking blog, you are going to have a great trip. I thought you were kind of silly to refer to the EB as "the imperialistically named Empire Builder". First of all, that's redundant. Secondly did you know it is named for a man? James J. Hill who built a railroad empire.

I for one thrill at the name of the Empire Builder and I'm sure a lot of others here do too, you will too after you get to ride it, I took it out west from Minneapolis a couple of times in junior high and high school and stopped in Glacier Park. What a cool trip. I want to do it again ASAP. You are lucky! Have a blast!
