Need a United ticket with S+ to access club?

Hello,

I was curious with the Select Plus benefit of United Club access, does one have to be holding a United ticket along with the Select Plus card? In other words, if you are Select Plus card holder but flying another airline (not UA) do you still have access to their lounge while waiting for your flight?

I'm not Select+, but I do believe you can.

No, a United boarding pass is not required to stay in the United Club. You my take any airline and still wait there. I've done this many times.

Last October I checked into the Presidents club in Sea-Tac with my S+ card even though I was flying on Southwest. They swiped the card behind the desk, and didn't ask me anything about my flight.
