My trip on the Crescent for July 4th-some questions

Greetings all,

I just booked, on-line at Amtrak.com, a one-way trip abaord the Crescent from NY City to New Orleans for the 4th of July weekend.

I got a pretty good fare, $132.00 for the train fare and $255.00 for a roomette, for a total of $387.00.

It has been a long time since I booked on-line, and when looking at my reservation today I noticed that my roomette number was not displayed anywhere that I could see.

When, if at all, will the roomette number be displayed?

I am not at all concerned about which roomette I get, but I find it odd that the number doesn't appear on the reservation anywhere.

Btw, the hotels in NOLA are already filling up for that weekend.

For reasons unknown, Amtrak stopped printing the numbers on the emailed confirmations a while back. But nonetheless a room has been assigned to you. If you're curious you can call Amtrak and find out what room was assigned, or you can just wait until you print your tickets to find out.
