More 3C snail-rail criticism in Ohio.

This is legitimate criticism, mostly. It is going to be a tough sell and I don't think that the old "if you build it they will come" argumention will work very well
 
Pfui. there is substantial ridership in other states with equally slow service. Republicans just want to object to it since it is an Obama project and be damned if we are going to give up bipartisanship in the name of progress.
 
I actually agree with GML on this. The 3C has become a political football, being kicked by Republicans who oppose anything connect with Obama. It's up to rail supporters to get out and write their state representatives and officials to back this long-needed project as the first step on the way to genuine car-competitive rail service.

It's actually even worse than you suggest. Consider this:

James Seney, a Republican appointee who led the Ohio Rail Development Commission for six years, said he's stunned the project is running into problems since the GOP endorsed federal funding for his plan when he was in office.
