I was down in Red Wing for the weekend to watch Milwaukee Road 261 come through both days (part of the Minnesota's 150th year of statehood celebration). I watched the EB come through on Saturday and noticed the trans dorm sleeper to be marked as 'Coachclass' down by the vestibule door. I had to look at it a couple of times to make sure I wasn't seeing things, but it was clearly a transition sleeper. Very bizarre. Has anybody else seen this?

Also, the Amtrak superdome car was a part of the 261 train consist, so that was a cool sighting as well.

Were you able to take some pictures?

Dumb question... could Amtrak have done some body maintenance, and replaced a body skin panel with one from a coach?

Here's two videos of it. Passing by Frotenanc (kind of blurry at first as my camera was not focusing):

Nice pictures!
I think he may have been asking if you had a photo of the transition sleeper/coach... :)
I kind of wondered....just uploaded them:

Yet look at THIS view on another site.
Looks like somebody dropped the ball when they went to the Phase IVb scheme on that car....

Probably the same people who were putting 'ATMRAK' on some of the locomotives a couple of years ago...
