When I had dinner on the Southwest Chief 2 weeks ago I had the priviledge of screaming about vanilla bean ice cream to a guy who was taking notes.He said everyone was screaming and we should continue to do so.Someone is actually listening.

I myself have simply been funneling information to contacts on The Hill about SDS, whether they are good, bad, or indifferent. I suspect this, and the actions of others, are why SDS is going as well as it is. For whatever reason, this is on the radar screen of senior Amtrak management. Or at least it appears that way. We shall see, come June 30th.

Gee, had I know that you were on the SB CS on the 18th, I would have waved as your train passed my NB Talgo. I was on my way from Portland to Seattle to catch the Empire Builder. I had arrived into PDX on the CS the day before.
