Illinois construction delays

The Amtrak website says that the current round of construction on the Chicago-St. Louis line is scheduled to end on November 14th.

I'll need to travel from St. Louis to Chicago one day next month, but the date isn't critical. I'm thinking I should delay this until the week after November 14th, but how reliable do you think the November 14th end date is?

Probably fairly reliable. Expect to see another round of construction soon, but on this line, they usually do meet their end dates for individual projects.

It was announced that UP has OK'd the construction of a pedestrian bridge at BNL. No word yet on when that will start.
