I bought my May ABQ-LAX-SAN roundtrip

I went to the station to buy it (had to go downtown anyway), as I couldn't get what I wanted online. Even doing multi-city, I'd get an error code.

The Amtrak lady also had difficulty, so she had the manager work some magic on the computer terminal.

My problem was that Amtrak wanted to give me only 30 minutes (roughly) between my arrival from SAN and the departure of the SWC

to ABQ.

Now I have a 2½ hour layover, which is fine with me.

I also discussed with the manager my having deboarded (?) last December in Fullerton (instead of going on to L.A.)

which saved me abut 2½. I asked if that's possible now with the e-ticket.

He said yes, no problem, if I didn't mind my checked luggage going onto L.A. and then SAN.

The only problem he could see, as I'm going 'business class' (which is reserved) I may need ride upstairs coach if the 'business

class' seats are all full.

And, as I have always experienced, the Amtrak staff was friendly, helpful and quite nice with which to deal.
